Plastic Memories 04 - I Just Don't Know How to Smile
Please accept our apologies that this post is a day late due to technical issues.
Happy Sunday everyone! and as it's Sunday that means more Plamemo :3
Lets kick things off with episode 4, we last left our love birds living together but Isla wouldnt speak to him in the apartment but this morning she has changed her tune... could it be love <3
And as he celebrates Michiru walks in and Isla decides to undress, of course Michiru then brands him as a pervert. I think in every anime ever someone is always a pervert it seems to be a running theme.
A new day means a new assignment, here we learn a few new things:
Android children - children who have been raised by androids i.e. Gigtias, does this mean there are other androids ?
black market collectors - there is a black market that abducts Giftias although this is not explained any further.
Tsukasa and Isla go to visit Souta as they are coming to retrieve Marcia and he is more than happy to sign her over as he is an angry stuck up little brat... I mean upset. However Tsukasa doesnt want to accept his signature as he thinks that he is doing it for the wrong reasons.
But again the directors have taken it too far when trying to humanize Isla, not only does she bleed but she now apparently breaths and suffocates, Is Isla really a Giftia or is she a human who thinks shes a Giftia.
Back to the episode we learn that Souta is angry because Marcia told him she will always be with him as his parents aren't but as she told him about her lifespan he refuses to believe anything she says, Michiru agrees to help and speak with Souta as she was also raised by a Giftia and knows what he is going through but he doesn't really listen, the gang then pitches in to make his favorite cake for his birthday.
We have a special moment where Souta remembers his parents a realises that Marcia has been looking after him all this time and he apologizes and they make up in time.
But the episode ends with what you would expect, a black market trader knocks on Souta's door pretending to be from terminal service and asks where Marcia is!!! what will happen!
Find out next week.
Overall I think that Plastic Memories is a good show I would recommend it so far, however sometimes it does seem a bot lacking in content and I wish that they would stick to the main love story scenario.
I'll give it 2 1/2 Mom's home made strawberry tarts out of 5.
