Megumi manages to impress the judges with her Rainbow Terrine, which emphasizes the maturity of vegetables. However, when it comes down to voting, all three judges vote for Shinomiya's dish based on the difference between their skill.

06 The Meat Invader

I wish my rice balls turned out triangular !

We last time we left Soma getting acquainted with his new room mates, they soon find out that they can join clubs and set out to search for one. Soma and Megumi look for a club to join and stumble upon the Don Research Society, who is targeted for disbandment by Erina for her expansion project. One of Erina's enforcers Ikumi Mito challenges the club president Kanichi Konishi telling him that no matter what he cooks that his dish will never beat her A5 grade meat.

Seeing the events unfold, Soma volunteers to partake in the Shokugeki in Kanichi's place with the challenge being to cook a dburi ondish. The stakes are that a victory results in the club staying with Ikumi joining, while a defeat results in Soma's expulsion and the club disbanding.

Kibou no Uta - Ultra Tower I feel like anime fans tend to forget that opening themes arent just opening themes they're actual songs by actual bands ! so if you fancy something a bit different here is the actual song ^-^ - the band has a female drummer how interesting.

The opening theme is catchy and sets the mood of the show for you. Definitely  makes you hungry already.

Last time we left Soma at the entrance exam to Toutski Academy as his father has gone traveling.

Welcome back to another hungry episode, Bon Appetite!

Food Wars! Shokugeki no soma 02 - God tongue

Last time Soma arrived at Totsuki the country's most elite culinary school where only the top 10% of pupils pass. Whilst his father is having a mid life crisis gallivanting around the world Soma must under go the entrance exam to see if he can get into Totsuki in the first place.

You soon get the feel for the place when he gets dissed by some little rich kid, even though money couldn't buy his way into the academy.

Que  Nakiri Erina, she is going to be the examiner  for the exam and most applicants flee... well all but Soma.

More about Erina:

The Granddaughter of the Senzaemon Nakiri (the director of Totsuki academy) , She is said to have the worlds strongest pallet and only dines on the finest cuisine, when younger she had tasted many great chefs dishes to help them improve their restaurants. thus granting her the title "God's Tongue"



Although she is offended by the mere sight of Soma she agrees to let him take the exam, his  Transforming  Fuurikake Gohan entices her enough to try the dish. Much to her disbelieve the simple dish impresses her but her pride and Soma's cockiness and the fact that shes a giant bi*** causes her to fail him and she informs her grandfather that no applicants have been successful.

On to the next dish!

Food Wars! Shokugeki no soma 03 - That chef never smiles

In this episode we meet Megumi Tadokoro, she is one of the main characters and is often teamed with Soma.

More About Megumi:

Megumi is from the Tohoku reigon of Japan and has often idolized her mothers cooking which has led her to come to Totsuki, She has the potential to be a good chef but because of her nervous shy personality her grades have suffered dramatically. Personally I think she has/will develop feelings for Soma. <3

If the students arent already nervous enough Erina's Grandfather gives a speech to cheer them up by letting them know they will be sacrificial pawns to the graduating small percentage, and introduces Soma to the stage as he over ruled

Erina's judgement in the exam. :O shocked right, well not really if he didn't get in there wouldn't be a show 

It looks like the rivalry begins, but who lets a 3 year old have a kitchen knife. I cant even trust the nephews with plastic spoons!

After the entrance ceremony has ended Megumi declares that she would try her hardest to gain a better grade and that it would be best to stay away from the new transfer student that everyone hates . . . first class they are partners.

I think she ed herself there lol

Much to her dismay and the rest of the class, everything turns out ok as they are the first students to get and A.

Now theres some heat in the kitchen I will give this weeks episodes 3 weird bees out of 5.

Why I decided to review a program that's aired on a Friday I don't know but none the less until I catch up or if you haven't started watching it yet, then lets get started :3

The story of a boy named Soma Yukihira, whose dream is to become a chef in his father's restaurant and surpass his father. But just as Soma graduates from middle school, his father gets a new job  and closes his restaurant. However, Soma's fighting spirit is rekindled by a challenge from his father which is to survive in Totsuki culinary acadmey where only 10% of the students manage to graduate. What lies ahead...
