Goodbye!

Konnichiwa readers !

It is with great sadness today that I announce that I will not longer be blogging! , I find that I do not have enough time and that I cannot blog enough as expected or as I hoped I would. I really hate to let you all down and I am sorry if I have dissapointed you.

I hope that I can come back in the future having learnt from this experience, I have really enjoyed doing this over the last few month even just the sheer fact to think that people would read what I right has definitely inspired one of my life goals to write my own book.

Megumi manages to impress the judges with her Rainbow Terrine, which emphasizes the maturity of vegetables. However, when it comes down to voting, all three judges vote for Shinomiya's dish based on the difference between their skill.

06 The Meat Invader

We last time we left Soma getting acquainted with his new room mates, they soon find out that they can join clubs and set out to search for one. Soma and Megumi look for a club to join and stumble upon the Don Research Society, who is targeted for disbandment by Erina for her expansion project. One of Erina's enforcers Ikumi Mito challenges the club president Kanichi Konishi telling him that no matter what he cooks that his dish will never beat her A5 grade meat.

Seeing the events unfold, Soma volunteers to partake in the Shokugeki in Kanichi's place with the challenge being to cook a dburi ondish. The stakes are that a victory results in the club staying with Ikumi joining, while a defeat results in Soma's expulsion and the club disbanding.

The opening theme is catchy and sets the mood of the show for you. Definitely  makes you hungry already.

Last time we left Soma at the entrance exam to Toutski Academy as his father has gone traveling.

And I'm back, continuing on with our Studio Ghibli theme this week we will be watching Ponyo.

Ponyo,Ponyo,Ponyo, fishy in the sea.  Tiny little fishy, who could you really be?
Isn't it just catchy!

Ponyo, which was intially ment to be titles Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. Is anther of Hayao Miyazaki's famous films, number eight to be exact. It follows the story of a small goldfish like creature called Ponyo who wants to become a human, its kind of like a anime version of the little 
mermaid i guess.

Brunhilde (ponyo's original name)  is a fish like humanoidl who lives with her father Fujimoto, a once-human who now lives underwater, with her smaller sisters. One day,  on an outing with their father, she sneaks off and floats away.She ends up stuck in a glass jar, She drifts to the shore of a small fishing town and is found and rescued by a small boy.

Rokka - Braves of the six flowers 04-05

Hi Everyone, I'm currently on holiday in america for 2 weeks so please bear with me and i will try and get some reviews up for you.

Rokka - Braves of the six flowers 04 - The hero's gather

Today lets take another look at Roka no yuusha, we last left our hero's at a standoff because they didn't trust Flamie as she was the brave killer and openly admits that she has killed many to help the demon king but Adlet is quick to dismiss this for why would the Goddess of the single flower choose someone who is attempting to help the Demon King as a Brave.

They carry on their journey towards the temple where the phantasmal barrier lies, in the distance they see flying fiends bombing the are and they are surrounded quickly. leaving his team mates Adlet goes to investigate but the temple is perfectly fine.

He is tricked by a shape shifting fiend into opening the temple by blowing up the door, as the door opens he is attacked by magiced armour and he notices that a fog begins to appear. Somehow the barrier has already been activated, upon investigating the inside of the temple the others arrive but something is weird...

Dun dun dun......

Rokka - Braves of the six flowers 05 - The seventh brave

When the braves gather there have always been six, never seven...... until now
They are quick to decide that one of them must be an enemy and on the side of the dmeon king, the only way to deactivate the barrier is to figure out who activated it and get them to deactivate it or kill them..... 

Mora Chester:

Mora is a rather tall lady and although she arrived alone she has previous affiliation with Chamo and Nachetanya as she is the head of All Heavens Temple. This is the organisation that is in charge of the overseeing of the saints. She is also the Saint of Mountains, little is currently known about her abilities and she doesn't appear to carry any weapons but wears big gauntlets which makes me think she uses her fists.

Chamo Rosso:

Although she is still young and small Chamo is rumored to be the strongest alive in he current generation and the second strongest in history after the Saint of the Single Flower. She carry's no weapon but has a peculiar attachment to the fox tail she carry's, she is the Saint of Swaps.








Hans Humpty:

Hans is the strangest of the group, wearing old ragged clothes and adorning a cat like tail. Out of all the braves he appears the most suspicious as his name is not well know... but that is because hes an assassin. He is extremely greedy as he said he never kills for free, even after becoming a brave he went to the nearest kingdom and asked the king for a reward. His sword style is based on cats hence the tail and the Nya's.






But the biggest shock come from Flamie when she reveals that she was born of a human and a fiend.

Tings are getting interesting, so far it is worth 4 beating eyes out of 5

Welcome back to another hungry episode, Bon Appetite!

Food Wars! Shokugeki no soma 02 - God tongue

Last time Soma arrived at Totsuki the country's most elite culinary school where only the top 10% of pupils pass. Whilst his father is having a mid life crisis gallivanting around the world Soma must under go the entrance exam to see if he can get into Totsuki in the first place.

You soon get the feel for the place when he gets dissed by some little rich kid, even though money couldn't buy his way into the academy.

Que  Nakiri Erina, she is going to be the examiner  for the exam and most applicants flee... well all but Soma.

More about Erina:

The Granddaughter of the Senzaemon Nakiri (the director of Totsuki academy) , She is said to have the worlds strongest pallet and only dines on the finest cuisine, when younger she had tasted many great chefs dishes to help them improve their restaurants. thus granting her the title "God's Tongue"



Although she is offended by the mere sight of Soma she agrees to let him take the exam, his  Transforming  Fuurikake Gohan entices her enough to try the dish. Much to her disbelieve the simple dish impresses her but her pride and Soma's cockiness and the fact that shes a giant bi*** causes her to fail him and she informs her grandfather that no applicants have been successful.

On to the next dish!

Food Wars! Shokugeki no soma 03 - That chef never smiles

In this episode we meet Megumi Tadokoro, she is one of the main characters and is often teamed with Soma.

More About Megumi:

Megumi is from the Tohoku reigon of Japan and has often idolized her mothers cooking which has led her to come to Totsuki, She has the potential to be a good chef but because of her nervous shy personality her grades have suffered dramatically. Personally I think she has/will develop feelings for Soma. <3

If the students arent already nervous enough Erina's Grandfather gives a speech to cheer them up by letting them know they will be sacrificial pawns to the graduating small percentage, and introduces Soma to the stage as he over ruled

Erina's judgement in the exam. :O shocked right, well not really if he didn't get in there wouldn't be a show 

It looks like the rivalry begins, but who lets a 3 year old have a kitchen knife. I cant even trust the nephews with plastic spoons!

After the entrance ceremony has ended Megumi declares that she would try her hardest to gain a better grade and that it would be best to stay away from the new transfer student that everyone hates . . . first class they are partners.

I think she ed herself there lol

Much to her dismay and the rest of the class, everything turns out ok as they are the first students to get and A.

Now theres some heat in the kitchen I will give this weeks episodes 3 weird bees out of 5.

My Neighbour Totoro

Its movie night once again, this week is a real classic for Studio Ghibli and is the staple for their logo... you guessed it My Neighbour Totoro.

My Neighbor Totoro  is a 1988 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki . The film tells the story of the two young daughters (Satsuki and Mei) of a professor and their interactions with friendly wood spirits in rural Japan.

Heres our characters:

Satsuki Kusakabe:

She is the eldest daughter and tends to be found caring for her sister Mei in the absence of her mother who is in the hospital. She is very energetic and even though still in the youth of childhood she is quite mature for her age.






Mei Kusakabe:

She is 4-years-old and Satsuki's little sister. She has a tendency to copy what her older sister does and is quite the adventurer.
She also appears in the short film and sequel, Mei and the Kittenbus.

Last time we left Tsukasa and Isla in a race to find Marcia who has been kidnapped by a black market seller, Finally they have a lead and run into R.Security a business partner of the company that operates Terminal Service.

Whilst they have a lead they can only predict where Marcia might be, as the team prepare and head out to search Miciru explains to Tsukasa exactly what happened 3 years ago with her father and Kazuki.

Nachetania is the saint of blades, saints are people who have had the powers of Gods bestowed upon them. She became the saint of blades several years before the beginning of the series and her powers allow her to create blades out of thin air, She can use them as projectiles, to form a shield or to even peel fruit and veg if shes hungry. She is the first princess of Piena however the royal family takes a back seat after her father was accused of causing the civil war, her mother and brother are both deceased. Her armor is really kawaii and looks like a rabbit.

Why I decided to review a program that's aired on a Friday I don't know but none the less until I catch up or if you haven't started watching it yet, then lets get started :3

The story of a boy named Soma Yukihira, whose dream is to become a chef in his father's restaurant and surpass his father. But just as Soma graduates from middle school, his father gets a new job  and closes his restaurant. However, Soma's fighting spirit is rekindled by a challenge from his father which is to survive in Totsuki culinary acadmey where only 10% of the students manage to graduate. What lies ahead...

Howl's Moving Castle

It's Tuesday, and I have come prepared with popcorn yay :D whats your Favorite flavor ?

As it is movie night there is obviously no other place you should go for anime movies other than Studio Ghibli, lets start with a classic - Howl's Moving Castle

As I have a fond love for Studio Ghibli (Meaning I have them all on DVD) I thought we would start with one of my favorite, Howl's Moving Castle is a 2004 Japanese animated fantasy film. Scripted and directed by the one and only Hayao Miyazaki, the film is based on the novel of the same name by British writer Diana Wynne Jones. 

Here's our characters:

Sophie Hatter:

Sophie is the eldest of her sisters and works in her fathers hat shop where she makes hats. She has long brown hair and although she is inclined to believe it because of her shy timid nature she is rather beautiful. She soon finds herself cursed by the witch of the waste and seeks out Howl to remove the curse.

Plastic Memories 04 - I Just Don't Know How to Smile

Happy Sunday everyone! and as it's Sunday that means more Plamemo :3

Lets kick things off with episode 4, we last left our  love birds living together but Isla wouldnt speak to him in the apartment but this morning she has changed her tune... could it be love <3

And as he celebrates Michiru walks in and Isla decides to undress, of course Michiru then brands him as a pervert. I think in every anime ever someone is always a pervert it seems to be a running theme.

A new day means a new assignment, here we learn a few new things:

Android children - children who have been raised by androids i.e. Gigtias, does this mean there are other androids ?

black market collectors - there is a black market that abducts Giftias although this is not explained any further.

Tsukasa and Isla go to visit Souta as they are coming to retrieve Marcia and he is more than happy to sign her over as he is an angry stuck up little brat... I mean upset. However Tsukasa doesnt want to accept his signature as he thinks that he is doing it for the wrong reasons.

Beginning today I will be reviewing Rokka - Braves of the six flowers every Saturday, Hope you enjoy.

Rokka - Braves of the six flowers (Rokka no yuusha) is a japanese light novel series that began in 2011 written by Ishio Yamagata it was later developed into a manga and has now been adapted in an anime series.

The series follows the main character Adlet Myer, self proclaimed strongest man in the world. As he is chosen by the goddess of fate to be one of the six braves to defeat the demon king, however when the braves gather there are seven and not six. Leading the to believe one is an impostor and on the side of the demon king.
